Meet Jill Marlow, Treasurer and Media Director
Tell us about yourself and your family.
I’ve been a member of this church since I went through confirmation in 1974. I’ve been the treasurer here since 2015. Prior to that, I worked in the chemical industry for about 22 years. I have a degree in chemical engineering and a Master’s degree in polymer science. I’m married to Jim, whom I met in college. We have two daughters, Jamie, who is a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, and Jennifer, who is finishing her Public Health degree at Kent State University.
What do you like most about the United Methodist Church of Macedonia?
I like the laid-back atmosphere at the church. I work part time, so I can make my own hours. The staff and congregation are very friendly, so it makes coming to work extremely enjoyable.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, I do research on Ancestry (I’m totally addicted!), solve puzzles (crossword, Sudoku, etc., but not jigsaw), and watch the Cleveland sports teams.
What kind of music do you enjoy?
My favorite type of music is rock and roll and I’m partial to Billy Joel.
What are two items on your bucket list?
Two items on my bucket list are traveling to Costa Rica and Bali. We’re going to Bali in October 2024!
