Women’s Bible Study at UMC of Macedonia
The Way of Wisdom by Jen Wilkin, Ruth Chou Simons, Kelly Minter, Adrienne Camp, Elizabeth Woodson, and Courtney Doctor 

The Women’s Bible Study groups will be studying the Book of Proverbs written and presented by a team of women authors and Bible leaders. Each of the teachers taught and wrote in her own unique style, so we will have a variety of Bible study methods throughout the study.

The Way of Wisdom is a study of the Book of Proverbs, that was primarily written by King Solomon who asked God for wisdom. The book is a guide to help people live Godly lives. The book of Proverbs is broken up into three sections: ten speeches from a father to a son, hundreds of ancient proverbs (that you have likely heard), poems showing God’s wisdom and a conclusion with Lady Wisdom.

The studies will be held on Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m., beginning September 14, and Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., beginning September 15. The classes will be held in the Holbrook Room. This 8-week study includes a weekly video by one of the selected authors. The study guide is highly encouraged to help guide you in your personal study. In addition to the individual material, the book includes the code to watch the videos on your own. All ladies are welcome to attend our studies, especially if you have never participated previously. Both women’s groups offer a safe, welcoming space that supports and encourages each other while studying the Bible. We hope to see you all in September at one of our studies.
