Mission Statement

The purpose of the United Methodist Church of Macedonia is to be a reflection of Christ’s love and acceptance within the community and beyond. Through worship, prayer, education and fellowship, we will provide an environment where persons can be nurtured spiritually and encouraged to witness their faith to others. We are committed to provide opportunities for all people to receive the “Good News” of Jesus Christ.

  • We value serving all of those in need
  • We value our children and youth
  • We value our church family
  • We value Christian Education for all
  • We value our United Methodist traditions
  • We value our commitment to growth in Christian understanding and faith

  • About Our Church - Who We Are

The United Methodist Church of Macedonia has been witnessing to the love of God through Jesus Christ in the Nordonia Hills Community since 1866.

We are an outward-looking church, ecumenical in nature, working cooperatively with community groups and other churches, as we seek to share the love of God with all people.

Our worship and teaching are based solidly in the Scriptures as we encourage our members to venture out in faith to discover God’s will and individual purpose for them: each one for him- or herself.

We do not seek to tell people what they must believe; rather we seek to create a Christian environment in which they can develop their own deep and abiding faith in God.

Quality Nursery Care for pre-school children is available in the Nursery on the west side of the sanctuary. Sunday School classes are on the lower level of the church: If you are worshipping with us on Sunday, please ask for guidance at the Welcome Center. Someone there will escort you to the classrooms. There is also a building map available at the Welcome Center to help you find your way around.

Our facility is Handicap Accessible. Entrances to the sanctuary are ground level and wheelchair accessible.A ramp is provided by the old West entrance (near fellowship hall) for those who are unable to negotiate stairs. Once inside that entrance, an elevator is available to take you to the lower-level. Please ask an usher for the key if you need to use the elevator.

Personal listening devices If you have trouble hearing listening devices are available from the ushers.

Cry Room The Cry Room is available for parents of children who are restless or need attention at the back of the sanctuary (off the narthex), where you can view and hear and participate in worship.

Children in Worship Packets These are available in the narthex at the rear of the sanctuary. The packets contain coloring and activity pages and crayons to keep youngsters occupied during the service. If you cannot find the packets, the ushers will be happy to assist you.

Restrooms are located at the west end of the Narthex, as well as at both ends of the main floor hallway of the old section of the church, and in the central section of the lower level hallway.
